Our 180-year old farm house dates from the early days of this area’s settlement when the first Acadian settlers arrived. These hardy and industrious settlers were attracted by the wide expanse of marshlands and quickly constructed dykes to create viable farmland from rich salt marshes that were flooded twice a day by the high tides of the Bay of Fundy. The original hand hewed beams with bark intact in the basement truly tell the tale of history!

Claude and Lynn have preserved the original style of the farmhouse, but added modern amenities to provide a cozy, comfortable, clean and quiet home base for guests.

A room with a View! The cottage's large windows overlook beautiful Shepody Bay (part of the Bay of Fundy) where visitors can witness the world's highest tides. With a Ducks Unlimited marsh and the protected Mary's Point Bird Sanctuary nearby, the opportunities to spot wildlife are as endless as the scenery. Shepody Country Cottage provides an informal and pleasant atmosphere in which to enjoy a leisurely escape weekend, family vacation or special time with friends.

Four bedrooms, two baths, roomy dining room and living area, fully equipped kitchen facilities with dishwasher, microwave, oven range and a gas barbeque make for an uncomplicated, worry-free stay in a secluded country setting. Warmly decorated with antiques, pine wainscoting, and homemade quilts, Shepody Country Cottage is a cozy home away from home.

Room to RoamOutdoor enthusiasts will appreciate the unlimited hiking and biking opportunities, beach combing, sightseeing, a visit to our pheasant farm, bird watching and a myriad of activities for which Albert County has developed a worthy reputation.

Not to mention those country night skies filled with stars!
